OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAHappy Sunday everyone ! I have been busy all day building furnitures, a TV bench and 2 other side furnitures. The apartment is starting to look like a real grown up apartment and not just a whole with a bed and a TV in it. Don’t expect pictures though, I’m still very far away from Deco Magazines…

Anyway, so I wanted to take pictures of my new Rouge Edition Velvet, that I got from my friend Lea, in the morning there was not enough light, and after I was done with Ikea, and cleaning the mess as well, it was dark. And that lipstick is really amazing, I didn’t want to ruin its dedicated post by taking pictures in a rush, SO I decided to present today a recipe, direct from France : les gougères ! (cheese puffs)

Melt 80 grams of butter with 25 centiliters of water in a rather big saucepan (you’re gonna poor in more ingredients later on). Once it’s boiling, wait a few minutes for it to cool down and add 150 grams of flour. Toss it around with a spatula until you get that fluffy consistency that you can see on the middle picture up here, and wait another couple of minutes before breaking 4 eggs in, and scrambling them to that mixture. It looks disgusting and makes awkward noise, but that’s a good sign. The last ingredient is grated cheese of course, 150 grams of it, and a little bit of salt and pepper.

On a very very buttery tray, and with the help of two tea spoons, form little balls of dough, with 2 centimeters in between so they don’t stick when they cook. It’s supposed to be round, but it’ll swallow anyway so don’t worry it your first balls are ugly. Put the tray in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, at 200°. You can use that recipe to impress your guests for a fancy aperitif, like the cheesy cookies I told you about a few days ago. Have fun little cooks ! Bisous bisous, et bon appétit ;)
